Cortex: speech and motor areas

TCMP, transcranial micropolarization (a tDCS-type method)

  • In the body. Speech and movement are governed by areas of the cortex. With speech delay they mature more slowly or work out of step.
  • What we do. A weak current through electrodes on selected areas of the cortex while the child plays. The areas and the number of sessions are set by the doctor.
  • What it does not do. It does not switch speech on by itself: it prepares the cortex and motor skills. Speech is built by lessons and by talking at home.
When we do not do it

In epilepsy and epileptiform activity on EEG, tumours, implanted devices, damaged scalp skin and during the acute phase of an illness. A recent EEG is required before a course.

Brain rhythms and networks

  • In the body. Attention and self-control depend on brain regions working in concert. When a child struggles to sit still and hold attention, or repetitive involuntary movements appear, this coordination often matures more slowly.
  • What we do. We record the child's EEG and turn it into sound. The child hears their own rhythms through headphones; no effort is required.
  • What it does not do. It does not replace diagnostics and is not a treatment on its own: it complements the daily routine and work with the family. Whether the method is needed is decided by the doctor after the case review.
When we do not do it

In epilepsy, during the acute phase of an illness and in a number of other conditions; the doctor decides on the basis of the EEG and examination.

The auditory pathway and attention

  • In the body. Hearing a sound and picking speech out of it are different tasks. Sometimes hearing is normal, yet the child does not pick speech out of noise and does not respond to their name.
  • What we do. The child listens to processed music and speech through headphones with bone and air conduction while drawing or playing.
  • What it does not do. It does not correct speech sounds and is not a treatment on its own: it trains auditory attention. Whether the method is needed is decided by the doctor after the case review.
When we do not do it

Until hearing has been checked, in ear diseases and in uncontrolled epilepsy; the doctor decides. The programme is selected by a specialist after the review.

Cerebellum and brainstem

Cerebellar stimulation

  • In the body. The cerebellum and brainstem hold posture, pace and activity. Without them it is hard to keep attention on a task, on reading and on writing.
  • What we do. Balance-board sessions: coordination and attention. When indicated, TLNS: weak stimulation through a plate on the tongue.
  • What it does not do. It does not teach reading and writing: it trains posture, pace and attention. Reading and writing are taught by a teacher.

In acute illness, after recent injuries and operations, in uncontrolled epilepsy; TLNS also with a pacemaker, a cochlear implant and damage to the lining of the mouth.

Spine and neck

Massage, manual therapy, physiotherapy

  • In the body. Uneven muscle tone makes it hard to hold posture: the child tires, slouches, sits poorly. In schoolchildren neck tension keeps a headache going.
  • What we do. Therapeutic massage, gentle manual techniques with no abrupt manoeuvres on the neck, physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise. All as prescribed by the neurologist.
  • What it does not do. Massage does not remove a diagnosis. It prepares the body so that the other sessions give more.
When we do not do it

In fever and acute infections, skin diseases in the treated area, bleeding disorders, tumours, instability of the cervical spine; electrotherapy also with a pacemaker and metal implants.

What people ask before booking

How much is the first visit?
A first visit to a paediatric neurologist — 12,000 ₸; a clinical case review with the network's consilium and the parent — 30,000 ₸ (price list in tenge, prices valid as of 20.09.2026). The doctor draws up the stage route at the visit. Before the visit, every child is reviewed by the network's consilium — specialists from Russia (Novosibirsk and Saint Petersburg) together with the doctor in Almaty; the clinical case review with the parent is a separate service. The review is advisory: decisions are made by the doctor in Almaty.
How much does a stage cost?
It depends on what the route contains. The doctor names the cost of each item at the visit, before the stage starts. As a guide: TCMP 8,000 ₸ per session, massage for children from 1,000 ₸.
Can we do only part of the route?
Yes. The doctor will explain what changes without that item and in what order to go if the budget is limited. Anything can be added along the way only with your consent.
When will you tell us a method is not working?
At the follow-up review, if there is no change or not the right one. Then we change the approach or refer you to another specialist.
We already have doctors' reports. Everything from scratch?
No. Send them before the visit; the team will study them at the review. We repeat examinations only if the data is out of date.
Our child is two. Isn't it too early?
Not too early for a visit. What comes next, the doctor will say after the examination, including "observe and come back in six months".
Our child is afraid of doctors and procedures.
The first minutes of the visit go on getting acquainted, and you are there the whole time. During procedures the child plays or watches a cartoon.

1. Consent to the collection and processing of personal data

I, the child's legal representative (parent, adoptive parent, guardian or custodian), by entering my data and the child's data in this form, give Aurika Medical Centre LLP (BIN 100940006081, 25 Toraigyrov St, office 171, Bostandyk district, Almaty 050043; hereinafter the Operator) my consent to the collection and processing of personal data on the following terms (Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Personal Data and Their Protection", Articles 7 and 8).

  1. Whose data. Mine: given name, surname, phone number, messenger (Telegram), city; technical data of the request (date, time and version of the consent text). The child's: given name, surname, date of birth (age), and the information on complaints, development and health that I myself enter in the form and the intake form.
  2. Purpose. So that the Operator can contact me, book the child for a consultation, prepare the visit (including a preliminary review of the intake form by the clinic's doctors), remind me of the visit and answer my questions.
  3. How it is processed. Collection, accumulation, storage, amendment, use, blocking, depersonalisation, destruction; with and without automated means. Data on the child's health is processed as restricted-access data — by a limited circle of staff. Medical records are kept and stored at the clinic in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  4. Transfer to third parties. I send the request from the site myself, by Telegram message or by phone, to the Lastochka network's call centre — Lastochka Medical Centre LLC (Russian Federation), which receives requests for the Operator under a contract with it and passes them to the Operator for booking. The site does not store or transfer data. Otherwise data is disclosed only to state bodies when required by law. Transfer to the Russian Federation takes place under my separate consent to cross-border transfer (document 2).
  5. Cross-border transfer. Passing the request to the network's call centre in the Russian Federation requires a separate consent (document 2 below). Without it the request cannot be sent via the site, but you can book directly by calling the clinic on +7 702 911 54 21.
  6. Publicly available sources. The Operator does not disseminate my data or the child's data in publicly available sources.
  7. Term. This consent is valid until the purposes of processing are achieved, but no longer than 3 years from the date of the request, unless withdrawn earlier. A health intake form not followed by a visit is destroyed after 6 months. Data that the Operator is obliged to keep under healthcare and accounting legislation is kept for the periods set by that legislation.
  8. Withdrawal. I may withdraw this consent at any time by writing to aurika.clinic@gmail.com (subject "Withdrawal of consent") or by submitting a written request at 2nd microdistrict, 45a, ground floor, Almaty. The Operator will stop processing within 15 working days or give a reasoned reply if it is obliged by law to keep part of the data (Article 8(7) of the Law).
  9. My rights. To know whether data is held, to demand its amendment, blocking and destruction, to receive information on processing within 3 working days, to appeal against the Operator's actions to the authorised body (the Information Security Committee of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan) and to the court (Article 24 of the Law).
  10. Confirmations. I confirm that: I am 18 or older; I am the child's legal representative and am entitled to consent to the processing of the child's data; the data provided is accurate; I have read the Policy of Aurika Medical Centre LLP on the collection, processing and protection of personal data.
  11. Form. This consent is given electronically in a way that allows its receipt to be confirmed (Article 8(1) of the Law): by ticking the box in the form on the site, with the date, time, text version and list of items ticked recorded and included in the text of the request.

2. Consent to the cross-border transfer of personal data

I, the child's legal representative, separately and voluntarily give Aurika Medical Centre LLP (BIN 100940006081; hereinafter the Operator) my consent to the cross-border transfer of my personal data and my child's personal data on the terms below (Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Personal Data and Their Protection", Article 7(6), Article 8(4)(5), Article 16(3)(1)).

  1. Where and to whom. To the territory of the Russian Federation — Lastochka Medical Centre LLC, TIN 5402005664, OGRN 1155476046220, 87/1 Krasny Prospekt, Novosibirsk 630049, Russian Federation (hereinafter the Recipient), the Operator's partner for methodological support of the Lastochka project in Almaty. The request reaches the Recipient via the Telegram messenger (servers outside the Republic of Kazakhstan) or by phone and is placed in the Recipient's CRM system hosted on servers in the Russian Federation (vendor under the Recipient's contract).
  2. Which data. Mine: given name, surname, phone number, e-mail/messenger, city. The child's: given name, age and the brief description of the complaint that I enter in the request — these are transferred together with my contact details, without masking. The detailed intake form on the child's development and health is passed to the Recipient's consulting doctors for the review of every child with the surname, date of birth and contact details masked. The IIN, documents and full medical records are not transferred.
  3. Purpose. Unified registration of requests and support of the family across the Lastochka network; consultative participation of the Recipient's doctors — specialists from Russia (Novosibirsk and Saint Petersburg) — in the review of every child before the visit and after the stage together with the Operator's attending doctor; quality control under the network's standards. Decisions on diagnostics and the route are taken by the Operator's attending doctor, who is licensed to practise medicine in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  4. Safeguards. A contract is in place between the Operator and the Recipient under which the Recipient: uses the data only for the purposes in clause 3; does not pass it to others and does not disseminate it; restricts staff access; applies technical protection measures; destroys the data at the Operator's request or on expiry of the term; reports security incidents to the Operator within one working day. The child's medical records are kept and stored by the Operator in the Republic of Kazakhstan; the Recipient receives the request details and every child's intake form with the surname, date of birth and contact details masked.
  5. Term. This consent is valid until the purposes are achieved, but no longer than 3 years; on withdrawal, the Operator stops the transfer within 15 working days and requires the Recipient to destroy the data received, of which I am informed.
  6. Withdrawal and rights. This consent can be withdrawn by writing to aurika.clinic@gmail.com (subject "Withdrawal of consent to cross-border transfer") or by a request submitted at 2nd microdistrict, 45a, ground floor, Almaty. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any transfer made before it. My rights under Article 24 of the Law are preserved in full.
  7. I understand that the personal data legislation of the Russian Federation differs from that of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and that protection of data outside Kazakhstan is ensured by the contract between the Operator and the Recipient. A request made via the site goes to the network's call centre in the Russian Federation, so without this consent the request cannot be sent via the site. To book without transferring data to the Russian Federation, call the clinic directly on +7 702 911 54 21.

3. Booking terms and information about the provider

Information about the provider. Medical services in Almaty are provided by Aurika Medical Centre LLP, BIN 100940006081. Registered office: 25 Toraigyrov St, office 171, Bostandyk district, Almaty 050043. Address where services are provided: 2nd microdistrict, 45a, ground floor, Almaty. State medical activity licence: AA-4 No. 0162579; issued on 7 April 2011 by the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development of Almaty; the annex listing the licensed activities is to be confirmed ("Licence" section). The original licence and its annexes can be inspected at the clinic on request (Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Consumer Protection", Article 26(2)). Terms of booking via the site and of the provision of paid medical services (summary).

  1. What a request on the site is. The "Book a visit/Ask a question" form is a request for contact. Submitting the form does not conclude a contract and does not finally reserve a time: the front desk will call you back, clarify your request and agree a date. You can also book by phone: +7 702 911 54 21.
  2. Contract. Paid medical services are provided under a contract in the standard form approved by Order No. ҚР ДСМ-170/2020 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 29 October 2020 (Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Health and the Healthcare System", Article 202; Rules for the provision of paid services, clauses 4 and 7). The contract is concluded at the clinic before services begin, with the child's legal representative, on paper or electronically; one copy stays with you.
  3. Informed consent. Medical care is provided after the legal representative's informed consent (Code, Article 134(3)). Before each procedure the doctor explains what is done and why, what the contraindications and alternatives are; you may refuse care in whole or in part (Code, Article 136).
  4. Prices. The cost of services is stated in tenge in the price list on the "Prices" page and at the clinic. The price is fixed in the contract as of the date it is concluded. If additional paid services are needed during treatment, they are provided only with your consent and are formalised as an addendum to the contract (standard form, clause 5).
  5. Payment and documents. Payment is in cash or by card at the clinic (or online by invoice, where applicable). After payment you receive a fiscal receipt and, on request, a statement listing the services provided (Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Consumer Protection", Article 24(10)). Instalment terms, if offered, are set out in a separate contract stating the full cost.
  6. Cancellation and rescheduling. Please give notice of cancellation or rescheduling no later than period to be confirmed in advance (standard form, clause 9: "one or more days in advance"). If services are ended early, the difference between the amount paid and the cost of the services actually provided is refunded (standard form, clause 7).
  7. Emergencies. If the child needs emergency care during a visit, it is provided free of charge; if the clinic does not have the relevant specialty, it arranges access to the appropriate healthcare organisation (Rules for the provision of paid services, clause 8).
  8. Courses and stages. Rehabilitation proceeds in stages with a follow-up review between them. Continuing, changing or ending the route is decided together with you on the basis of the follow-up. We do not guarantee any specific treatment result: the course of the condition is individual to each child.
  9. Free care. Whether the provider participates in the guaranteed volume of free medical care and services under the compulsory social health insurance (OSMS) system — to be confirmed; all services within the Lastochka project are paid. Services covered by GOBMP/OSMS can be obtained at the organisations you are registered with.
  10. Monitoring and recording. The clinic has CCTV in common areas; phone calls may be recorded for quality control (Code, Article 134(1)(4)). Personal data is processed under the Policy of Aurika Medical Centre LLP.
  11. Complaints. A complaint can be submitted to the front desk, to aurika.clinic@gmail.com or in writing at 2nd microdistrict, 45a, ground floor, Almaty; reply period — to be confirmed. The procedure for applying to supervisory bodies is on the "Patient's rights" page.
  12. Governing law. The relationship is governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Disputes are resolved by negotiation and, failing agreement, in court under the rules of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
